Terms & Conditions

Introduction

These are the terms and conditions on which Research Information Ltd agrees to provide you with our print and online products to which you have subscribed. By subscribing to and accessing this material, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions you should not subscribe to receive these periodicals.
Although these terms and conditions are targeted to our End User subscribers, where relevant and appropriate they also apply to subscription agents.

Conditions of sale

All subscriptions must be pre-paid. Some of our periodicals are supplied on a calendar-year basis; and some are available on any-time start basis. All prices and publication dates are subject to change without notice.

It is important that a copy of the remittance instruction to your bank is also mailed to us and that you quote your subscriber/invoice number and order number. This will ensure that we can trace your payment and process your order promptly.

Invoicing currencies

Subscriptions are priced in GB-Pounds (£) worldwide. GB-Pound prices are definitive and apply world-wide.

Individual subscribers cannot pass online access details to others, since the Personal rate is for personal use only. Kindly note that if there is any infringement of this rule then we reserve the right to charge the individual at the full institutional rate including for the previous two years of their subscription.

Print Materials

Print materials will be delivered to the address specified by you on your order. The costs of delivery are included in the cost of your subscription, unless otherwise stated on the relevant web page.

Dispatch

Periodicals are dispatched from the UK and for non-UK dispatch are sent by standard air mail to all countries. Priority Mail rates are available on request.

Cancellations

Cancellations for the unfulfilled part of calendar-year journals are only accepted until 31 March of the current subscription year. Cancellations for the unfulfilled part of any-time start journals can be accepted at any time. An administration fee of GB-Pounds £50/US$100 may apply. In the case of magazine publications any unfulfilled part of the subscription will not be refunded.

Your subscription may only be cancelled with effect from the expiry of your current subscription period. You can notify us of cancellation before the expiry of your subscription.

If you do not renew your subscription it will expire at the end of your current subscription period and you will be deemed to have cancelled your subscription.

Claims

Claims for missing issues will be met, free of charge, if made within six months of the date of dispatch or payment date. Claims for missing issues must be made in writing to us or by email to info@researchinformation.co.uk. We reserve the right to reject a claim if we have evidence that the material has been despatched to you. Multiple claims for the same issue will be rejected.

Customers resident in the EU and VAT

Non-Value Added Tax (VAT) registered customers in the European Union (EU) should add the appropriate VAT rate applicable in their country to the prices. VAT-registered customers should include their VAT registration number with their order. In all other countries local taxes may apply. For delivery to Switzerland the appropriate VAT rate will be charged.

Orders, queries and claims

Orders, queries, and claims should be addressed to your nearest office address or sent by email. Payment by bank transfer, cheque and credit card is accepted.

End user information

Subscription Agencies must supply the full end user name and address details, when placing subscription orders for delivery to a different address from that of the actual end user.

Ordering procedures

When ordering please include the following details for each journal:
1. complete title(s);
2. year and volume(s);
3. ISSN(s);
4. full “send-to” address and full “end-user” address, including zip/postal code and country name (if this is different from the previous year, please include the old address);
5. your current subscription number;
6. the total value of the order.

Address changes

Please notify us promptly of any changes, mentioning both the old and new address, your subscriber number(s) and a complete list of the journals ordered.

Back volumes/single issues/special issues

Single Issue and Multiple Issue prices are available on request. Return shipments for ordered and paid back volumes, single and special issues are not accepted. For certain Back Volumes we deliver Xerox copies and not originals.

Payment details

Please mention your renewal number when you make a payment; not mentioning this can lead to a significant delay in order processing.

Pay by credit card/debit card. Complete our Remittance Instructions with your card details, or phone is +44 (0)1628 600 499. Please do not submit your card details by email as it is not a secure way of sending this information.

We accept credit card payments with orders placed by phone and/or post. The following payment cards are accepted: American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit.

Delayed Delivery/Non-Delivery

We will not be held liable for any non-delivery or delay of delivery as a result of (a) we are unable to process your payment and (b) a failure to publish due to circumstances beyond our control.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by English law. All subscribers, advertisers and agents will irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the replacement of any missing issue which may have been lost in transit to you. We exclude all other liability to subscribers according to the extent permitted by law.

Whilst every care is taken to ensure accuracy of content, we will not be held responsible for any inaccuracies within our publications.
